What breed is your cat and why did you choose them?

Curious what everyone here has and what drew you to that breed. We had Sam and Bean — two Bengals. The energy, the personality, the way they'd literally talk to you. They weren't just cats, they were roommates with opinions. Avy wants a Maine Coon next. I'm open to whatever as long as they have personality. What about you all? What breed do you have (or want) and what made you fall in love with it?
